“Learning to walk again”: Yulia Peresild cannot get up after weightlessness

Two weeks in space were not in vain for the film crew.

Even two weeks in a state of weightlessness do not go unnoticed by people who are accustomed to living in a state of gravity. Once again, this was demonstrated by actress Yulia Peresild, who returned yesterday from space filming together with director Klim Shipenko.

From the ship that landed in the steppes of Kazakhstan, the courageous cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky was carried out in his arms. And not at all because the heroes were greeted like that, but because after weightlessness the muscles tend to “forget” what they have been doing all their lives before.

As it turned out, only 12 days are enough, namely, Peresild spent so much time on the ISS to forget how to walk. She herself announced this on her Instagram from the Cosmonaut Training Center, where she is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

“I'm already at the Cosmonaut Training Center – I'm learning to walk again! October 17 is like another birthday!” – Yulia wrote in the microblog.

She previously reported that working in orbit was not only difficult, but generally on the verge of human capabilities. The actress said that she was very afraid that she would not be able to cope with the task, but everything worked out. Even more shots than necessary for the film were shot.
