An expert notes that you should completely exclude sweets from your diet if you want to , no need. Sweet can take from 5 to 10% of your menu. But provided that the rest of the diet is balanced and gives the body everything it needs: proteins, fats, carbohydrates.

“It is possible and necessary to replace sweets with fruits! Do not be afraid of fructose in whole fruits, fiber slows down its absorption, ”the expert says.
Another tip is to focus on slow carbohydrates. These are cereals, whole grain bread, durum wheat pasta. The presence of complex carbohydrates in the menu will help to suppress the constant cravings for fast carbohydrates. But remember that carbohydrates (even if they are slow) should not exceed 50% of your daily menu.

Make sure you get enough protein in your diet! It gives a feeling of long-term satiety. After a protein meal, you will not feel hungry for a long time.

Try to minimize stress. Yes, it is impossible to get rid of it completely, but at least exclude those stress factors that you can influence: do not starve, get enough sleep, do not overload yourself, give the body a rest.

There is an opinion that taking chromium and magnesium can suppress cravings for sweets. However, there is no evidence yet that this works in practice.

If cravings for sweets are associated with eating negative emotions, find another way to get rid of negativity, work with a psychologist.
