Biologist Sozykin explained why it is useful to eat a handful of almonds every day – approximately 10-15 pieces.

“To feel the benefits, you need to eat 10-16 almonds a day, no more,” the expert noted in a comment to NEWS.ru.
Alexander Sozykin noted that eating almonds has a positive effect on the state of the cardiovascular system. The habit of eating this nut reduces blood pressure and improves blood flow to the heart muscle, the expert emphasized. In addition, almonds help normalize cholesterol levels in the blood and protect blood vessels from the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.

Sozykin also drew attention to the fact that almonds prevent a sharp increase in blood sugar levels, their fluctuations and the development of insulin resistance. These changes are the basis of the processes leading to excess fat deposition, excessive obesity and the development of type 2 diabetes. People who eat almonds daily are much better protected from the development of these pathologies, the biologist emphasized.
 
“It contains a lot of protein and fiber, but few carbohydrates, so after eating it, the feeling of satiety lasts for a long time, which means that a person consumes fewer calories,” he stated.
