Doctor Voronov called the mistake of many Russians in treating ARVI

treatment of acute respiratory viral infections
Otoneurologist Viktor Voronov: the desire to bring down the temperature as quickly as possible is a common mistake of Russians in the treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections.

Doctor Voronov spoke out that many Russians, having fallen ill, strive to restore their health as quickly as possible with the help of medications, and this is a mistake. When faced with an infection, the body must be given time to independently fight its pathogen and develop immunity.

In particular, the doctor advised not to rush to bring down the temperature if it does not reach critical values.

“Many people bring down a not very high temperature: they stir a sachet of medicine, drink it, and run to work. Some spend several days in this mode,” Voronov pointed out the dangerous mistake to the St. Petersburg TV channel.
The specialist emphasized: if the body temperature of an adult with ARVI does not reach 38.5 degrees, there is no need to bring it down. The same rule applies to older people and children, only in their case you need to focus on 38 degrees.

“Temperature is our immunity. By incorrectly lowering the temperature, we acquire further complications,” the expert warned.
Voronov added that if a high temperature, weakness, fever and headache appear, you should not use drugs with paracetamol on your own – in such a situation, it would be best to consult a doctor.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that if you have a cold, you should not eat dairy products.
