Woman infected with sepsis 8 times in a row asks for amputation
A 32-year-old woman begs doctors to amputate her arm after she had sepsis 8 times in a row. This happened after the scratch she received while saving a drowning man.

A resident of the British county of Kent, Jade Harley (Jade Harle) worked as a lifeguard on the waters and performed her professional duty during the delivery of one of the swimmers to the shore, when she accidentally cut herself. This happened back in 2018, but since then, the poor woman raising a child is still on sick leave, because just a couple of weeks after the incident, she developed an infection, and frightening ulcers began to form on her fingers.

When the victim was taken to the hospital, doctors diagnosed her with sepsis – a life-threatening blood poisoning, the death rate in which is still 25%. The doctors wanted to amputate the poor rescuer's hand, but she begged to save the limb in the hope that she would be able to defeat the infection. And now four years have passed, but the woman continues to face blood infections, she has already suffered 8 sepsis due to an open wound on her arm.

Closing this wound with a skin graft fails, as the patient keeps falling ill again. It turned out that she was suffering from an immune disorder called pyoderma gangrenosum, which prevents the skin from repairing its own damage. And now the victim of recurring sepsis is already begging doctors to amputate her arm in the hope that after that her years of suffering will end. (READ MORE)
