Therapist, dermatologist Irina Baranova advised if you are addicted to sugar to get tested for parasites.

— Parasites are small gray cardinals that we are controlled. For example, they cause addiction to sugar and many other problems,she wrote in her blog.

The doctor listed the signs that may indicate parasites:

  • gastrointestinal diseases;
  • bloating, belching, gases;
  • skin problems (acne, psoriasis, eczema, itching);
  • excess weight;
  • thrush;
  • herpes often pops up;
  • frequent colds;
  • aversion to meat;
  • flatulence;
  • anal itching;
  • coated tongue;
  • uncontrolled cravings for carbohydrates and other unhealthy foods;
  • absent-mindedness, decreased performance;
  • iron deficiency;
  • drink a lot of vitamins, but there is no effect;
  • autoimmune diseases;
  • dandruff.

Parasites in the body can be of various types, including helminths (intestinal worms), protozoa, flatworms and others. They can enter the body through food, water, soil, or contact with infected animals or people.
Research shows that some parasites can influence the feeding behavior of their hosts. For example, Toxoplasma, a parasite that infects humans through contact with cats or raw meat, can alter the behavior of mice, making them less fearful and more willing to take risks. This causes mice to become more susceptible to predation, allowing Toxoplasma to complete its life cycle.

There is evidence that the parasites may influence human behavior, such as changes in appetite or food preferences.
