Gastroenterologist Ilyashenko: the best breakfast is boiled eggs and oatmeal

For breakfast, you need to eat porridge, eggs and other protein products, not cereal and fried bacon. This was explained by gastroenterologist Svetlana Ilyashenko.

— I would call porridge, protein products, for example, boiled eggs, the best products for breakfast. Oatmeal, of course, is more balanced, the specialist noted.

We are not talking about instant oatmeal, since it does not contain biologically active substances. Scrambled eggs with bacon are also not the best choice.

Bacon contains a lot of harmful fatty acids, they are poorly absorbed. Regular consumption of such products leads to excess weight and various diseases. 

Products containing healthy fatty acids, such as butter, are recommended.

Yoghurt and cottage cheese are also good for breakfast, but without industrial additives. Berries or nuts are a great addition.

As gastroenterologist Petmat Shamaeva said, porridge for breakfast is a classic option, but not everyone can eat it. She recommends oatmeal, semolina, buckwheat, corn, millet, rice, barley porridge with fruits and berries. You can add honey, butter, cottage cheese, an egg.

For people with lactose intolerance and celiac disease, gluten allergies, and diabetics, porridge for breakfast as a main dish is not recommended.

  • Phosphorus

  • Zinc
