Doctor Panova: these five dishes cannot be eaten for dinner, otherwise you will “break your metabolism”

Endocrinologist and nutritionist Oksana Panova told what dishes you should not choose for dinner. She gave general recommendations for evening meals.

There is no need to give dinner to the enemy, as a well-known saying advises, the doctor believes.

“An evening meal is needed for the proper regulation of metabolism, so refusing to eat in the evening will slow down metabolism and contribute to an increase in adipose tissue,” Panova emphasized.

How to ensure that dinner brings maximum benefits both for your figure and for your overall health?

Choose lean protein: chicken, turkey, lean beef, eggs , fish or seafood. As a side dish, prefer greens and boiled, stewed, baked vegetables. You can make a salad from fresh vegetables.

What foods are not suitable for dinner?

Simple carbohydrates. Set aside potatoes, white rice, and pasta for another meal. Such food will negatively affect the condition of the pancreas, and it will begin to produce large quantities of insulin. Insulin surges are dangerous because they provoke obesity and type 2 diabetes.

It happens that a person cannot help but eat something “hearty”. In this case, prepare complex carbohydrates: brown rice, for example. The serving should not exceed 150 grams, but it is better to stop at one hundred.

You should absolutely not eat sweets and baked goods for dinner, the doctor notes. She calls them “a real calorie bomb.” It's tasty, but guaranteed to lead to a spike in blood sugar.

The doctor urges you to remember that an excess of insulin will block the production of somatotropin, a fat-burning hormone. It is synthesized during sleep and helps break down fatty tissue.

More about somatotropin. Somatotropic hormone is involved in metabolism (proteins, fats, carbohydrates), regulation of water balance. It is associated with the growth of the body and is very important for children; it is also called growth hormone.

Somatotropin, according to research, can rejuvenate the body, literally “turning back time.” But be careful: it also has a negative side effect – somatotropin can promote the growth of existing tumors, both benign and malignant.

Choosing salty dishes for dinner, including smoked meats, will cause swelling. Getting enough sleep will be problematic – salty food makes you thirsty, drinking too much leads to frequent trips to the toilet.

Store-bought sauces and fatty meats are a bad choice, because metabolism slows down at night.
