Tick-borne encephalitis is a viral disease transmitted through a tick bite. It can cause inflammation of the brain. Ticks that carry the virus live in forest and border areas. Symptoms of tick-borne encephalitis can range from mild flu-like manifestations to serious neurological complications.

Symptoms of tick-borne encephalitis:

1. High body temperature and fever.
2. Headache, especially in the back of the head.
3. Feeling weak and tired.
4. Lack of appetite and nausea.
5. Drooping of the upper eyelid and double vision.
6. Swelling of the brain, which can lead to seizures, impaired consciousness and paralysis.

Lyme disease, or borreliosis, is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi, they are transmitted through the bite of an infected tick. If left untreated, Lyme disease can progress and cause serious complications, including problems with the heart, nervous system and joints.

Symptoms of Lyme disease can develop in stages and vary depending on the stage of the disease.
1. Early stage (3-30 days after tick bite):
   – A red spot around the bite site, known as erythema migrans. It can be large and spread throughout the skin.
   – Fatigue, fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, general malaise.

2. Early disseminated stage (several weeks to several months after the tick bite):
   – Spread of the red spot throughout the body.
– Headaches, neck stiffness, fever, fatigue, muscle and joint pain.
   – Neurological symptoms such as facial paralysis, numbness and weakness in the limbs may occur.

3. Late stage (months or years after the tick bite):
   – Pain in the joints, especially in the knees.
   – Swelling and inflammation of the joints.
   – Problems with the heart, nervous system, skin and other organs.
