Dietitian Zharovskaya warned in an interview about the dangers of the habit of having only a cup of coffee for breakfast.

“Coffee increases blood sugar levels, and this gives a person the illusion of satiety. Meanwhile, the body actually does not receive nutrients,” the specialist noted in an interview with Sputnik radio.
According to the doctor, such deception of the body on a regular basis can provoke responses that are closely related to metabolic disorders (in particular, protein and fat metabolism disorders). Against this background, metabolic syndrome may develop, characterized by abnormal accumulation of adipose tissue, especially in the waist area, which indicates a predisposition to cardiovascular pathologies.

“Normally, women should have a waist of no more than 82-85 cm, and for men – no more than 90-92 cm,” Zharovskaya warned.
According to the nutritionist, a person’s daily diet should be distributed so that breakfast accounts for the largest portion of calories consumed. At the same time, it is allowed to eat butter, eggs, and other foods with saturated fats – eating them promotes the secretion of bile necessary for digestion.
