Nutritionist Meshcheryakova shared advice with Russians on what a proper kebab should be. The doctor noted that eating both uncooked meat and meat with a burnt crust is extremely dangerous for the body. With such kebab, helminths and carcinogens can enter the body, the nutritionist warned.

“To avoid a dangerous burnt crust, it is better to cook kebab not on skewers and an open fire, but in foil. Thanks to this processing, it turns out more tender, juicy, without a fried crust, which is much healthier,” the doctor advised in a comment to Lente.ru.
In addition, Meshcheryakova added, you should avoid combining meat and shish kebab with certain products, for example, white bread or juices.

“You should not eat red meat with white bread, baked goods, sweet drinks, juice – such a combination complicates digestion process,” the expert explained.
Another advice from a nutritionist: if the kebab is hot enough, you should not drink cold drinks, including alcohol. In this case, enzyme activity will decrease, which will slow down the digestion process and provoke a feeling of heaviness along with distension in the abdomen, bloating and flatulence.

Meshcheryakova added that it is best to eat kebab or meat with vegetables or herbs, wash it down with warm drinks, at least just warm water.
