According to endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova, drinking kefir at night can disrupt carbohydrate metabolism, contribute to the development of hyperglycemia.

Endocrinologist Pavlova spoke about the dangers of drinking habits kefir in the evening. The specialist stated that it raises blood sugar levels, contributes to the development of prediabetes, diabetes.

“Using kefir before bedtime can lead to diabetes, as it increases blood sugar levels,” the doctor warned the Russians.
According to Pavlova, at a later time, the production of insulin, a hormone produced by the pancreas and responsible for the distribution of sugar released after eating, is activated in the cells. The intake of kefir, which contains carbohydrates, stimulates the already active release of the hormone. As a result, sugar is transported through the cells faster, and its level in the blood drops sharply. To make up for it, the liver increases the production of glucose, and the sugar level begins to rise. The doctor told about this in the telegram channel.

The doctor believes that in the late hours and at night it is better to abstain from any food and drink, with the exception of water.
