Therapist and nutritionist Elena Tikhomirova: eating peaches has a beneficial effect on the intestinal microbiota.

Doctor Tikhomirova said that a little-known beneficial property of peaches is their ability to prevent constipation. The doctor noted that peaches are rich in fiber, which effectively stimulates the digestive tract. They perfectly protect against congestion in the gastrointestinal tract.

“Fiber is a carbohydrate that is not digested, helps the motility of the gastrointestinal tract and normalizes digestion. This is an excellent prevention of constipation and food for our beneficial microbes,” Elena Tikhomirova shared with Gazeta.ru.
She added that peaches also contain a lot of chromium and silicon – these microelements contribute to the intensive production of collagen, which has a positive effect on the condition of the skin , hair, teeth, nails, joints.

The specialist advised limiting the amount of peaches to a serving of no more than 200 grams (with normal physical activity) per day. Tikhomirova recalled that fruits are a source of carbohydrates, which activate fat deposition processes when consumed in excess.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that beer can be higher in calories than confectionery and it is easy to gain weight with it.
