Doctor Queen: alcohol and coffee after stress only increase anxiety

Doctor Margarita Koroleva advised not to use caffeine after stressful events because of its ability to increase anxiety.

Doctor Koroleva recalled that some drinks can increase the feeling of anxiety, these primarily include alcohol and coffee (also other drinks rich in caffeine).

The specialist shared a recommendation: after stress, you should not drink coffee, as it increases anxiety:

“An excess of strong coffee in the presence of some negative events can cause not only excitement, but also an increase in anxiety due to caffeine.”
Also, in a conversation with Moscow 24, doctor Koroleva stated that the nervous system a person can suffer greatly due to alcohol consumed after experiencing tension and stress. According to the expert, when alcohol is consumed following some negative conditions or events, the state of anxiety can increase significantly.
