Therapist and nutritionist Natalya Pavlyuk drew attention to the benefits of oats, barley and buckwheat for the human body.

Doctor Pavlyuk shared her opinion that porridges made from certain cereals are especially effective in improving health and helping in the prevention of diseases, since they contain a large amount of vitamins and microelements. The specialist is convinced that oats take first place in the ranking of healthy cereals. Its consumption helps prevent cardiovascular diseases and stimulates the development of good bacterial microflora in the intestines, which is important for strengthening the immune system.

“This is an excellent source of soluble dietary fiber, which helps reduce the level of total and “bad” cholesterol. Contains a lot of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, rich in B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, iron,” Pavlyuk spoke about oatmeal in an interview with Moscow 24.
She added that whole grain oats, which require quite a long cooking time, are preferable for consumption.

In addition, barley and buckwheat are included in the ranking of healthy cereals. Thanks to their consumption, the body is provided with selenium, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. In addition, their presence in the diet has a positive effect on digestion. The expert recommended not to eat instant porridge and prefer whole grains rather than crushed ones.

The MedikForum.ru portal previously wrote that the habit of drinking water in the morning is useful for protecting against thrombosis.
