Dietitian Angelica Duval: who is harmful from eating sweet pepper?

Doctor Duval warned that a product such as sweet pepper can be dangerous if problems with the liver and kidneys. The doctor explained that the vegetable contains alkaloids, which, in the above-mentioned pathologies, can act on the body as toxins, contributing to its poisoning.

“If a person has liver or kidney diseases, or his excretory system suffers, then pepper, like all nightshades – and this includes potatoes, eggplants, and tomatoes – should be excluded from the diet. Alkaloids can poison the body quite strongly, and if the liver and organs of the excretory system are already overloaded, this will aggravate their condition,” Duval noted in a commentary to Sputnik radio.
The doctor also listed other health problems for which sweet peppers are contraindicated: heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmia, angina pectoris), joint diseases, gastritis, peptic ulcers.

Angelique Duval advised people with iron deficiency anemia to eat sweet peppers because it contains a lot of cobalt and vitamin C, which improve the absorption of iron. The product is also useful for people who have a hormonal imbalance (specifically an imbalance of thyroid hormones).
