Biologist Lyalina: regular consumption of spinach reduces the risk of cancer.

Biologist Irina Lyalina advised Russians to pay attention to such a product as spinach. The specialist stated that spinach has the ability to reduce the risk of anemia and cancer.

“It contains antioxidants that reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and cancer,” Lyalina said in a comment to NEWS.ru.
The biologist added that spinach is especially beneficial for women’s health. This leafy green vegetable has the ability to reduce the risk of anemia, one of the most common medical problems in women. Eating spinach, for example, is beneficial during menstruation.

“The high iron content in spinach helps prevent anemia due to injury, blood loss or donation,” the specialist shared.
Lyalina noted that spinach is also rich in folic acid, which reduces the risk of fetal defects in pregnant women.

Another important advantage of spinach is that it is rich in vitamins A and C. Thanks to them, the condition of the immune system and the body’s resistance to infections improves.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that eating foods rich in folic acid effectively enhances the body’s defense against cancer.
