Oncologist Vadim Pokrovsky: you should take vitamins only as prescribed by a doctor.

A recent study by scientists from Sweden and China showed that vitamin C has the ability to stimulate the activity of cancer cells. In turn, oncologist Pokrovsky announced the ability of other vitamins to activate the development of cancer. In particular, he explained, substances can play the role of signaling molecules that stimulate gene expression, which triggers carcinogenesis.

“Folic acid, vitamin B12, A and D can promote the development of cancer cells,” the doctor stated in a commentary to RIA FederalPress.
At the same time, Pokrovsky emphasized that what was said applies primarily to inadequate intake of vitamins and microelements – for example, to taking too much of them. The oncologist noted that supplements should not be completely abandoned, but their dosage should be strictly controlled. Regarding the same vitamin C, the doctor said that this natural antioxidant is necessary for the entire body, and taking it in a certain amount is unlikely to lead to the development of cancer cells.

The oncologist added that you should not prescribe vitamins yourself. This should be done by a doctor, guided by the test results. Especially if there were cases of cancer in the patient’s family.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that in old age you should not eat complex foods and dishes.
