Oncologist Aslan Zagashtokov: the initial symptoms of lung cancer often have no direct connection with the respiratory system.

Oncologist Zagashtokov warned in a conversation with NEWS.ru that the symptoms of lung cancer may not be obvious, that is, they do not cause associations with breathing problems.

“The first symptoms of lung cancer often have no direct connection with the respiratory system. Patients spend a long time visiting different specialists and undergoing examinations,” the specialist said.
The oncologist drew attention to the fact that with this disease, unmotivated weakness and fatigue may be felt – and such a loss of strength occurs in the first half of the day, when a person should be more energetic than ever. In addition, with increased fatigue, a subfebrile temperature is observed, which is not brought down by medication.

Other non-obvious symptoms that may occur with lung cancer:

  • Unexplained itching of the skin;
  • Dermatitis;
  • Dizziness;
  • Lack of coordination of movements;
  • Loss of sensitivity.

Zagastokov emphasized that the appearance of such symptoms is a serious reason to see a doctor and get examined.
