“This is one of several hundred varieties of the Omicron strain, which does not fundamentally differ from them,” he told Moscow 24.

Sergei Voznesensky clarified that Arcturus, like other varieties of Omicron, has a high virulence, that is, it can quickly spread between people. At the same time, scientists believe that the new sub-variant is not capable of causing an epidemic of severe forms of the disease.
