Honored Doctor of Russia Olga Sharapova told how to prevent a hangover using fermented milk drinks.

Doctor Sharapova said that kefir or tan help prevent a hangover . In a comment to Gazeta.Ru, the doctor stated:

“Kefir or tan contain the amino acid tryptophan, which can reduce hangover symptoms the next day.”
The uncomfortable state of a hangover, felt in the morning after drinking alcohol the night before, usually manifests itself as headache, nausea, loss of strength, general malaise, and irritability. All these sensations are the result of the diuretic effect of alcoholic beverages and the high concentration of toxins in the blood that are released during the metabolism of ethanol. Doctor Sharapova noted that restoring normal well-being in such circumstances helps, first of all, to normalize the electrolyte balance – to successfully combat a hangover, you need not only to drink a lot of liquid, but also to get electrolytes with it: drink water with lemon, mineral water, tomato juice.

As for kefir or tan, which help prevent a hangover, you should drink them before bed.

“In addition to tan and kefir, foods high in B vitamins, potassium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin C are also beneficial, such as bananas, apricots, green tea, orange juice, nuts, avocados, eggs, seafood and green vegetables,” she added. Olga Sharapova.
To reduce the risk of a hangover, preference should be given to lighter drinks and take into account individual tolerance to alcohol. You also need to avoid mixing different types of alcohol and drinking sweet cocktails, which aggravate the negative effects of drinking, the doctor concluded.
