General practitioner Marina Berezhnaya advised that if you have panic attacks, consult a doctor and get checked for possible diseases.

Doctor Berezhnaya warned that panic attacks can become more active in the spring, since the body at this time of year may experience a lack of many vitamins and other nutrients that it did not receive in the winter due to the lack of sun and fresh plant food.

“In the spring, people often experience irritability and inexplicable anxiety , the maximum manifestation of which can be a panic attack,” the doctor stated.
Doctor Berezhnaya listed the main symptoms of a panic attack:

  • Rapid heartbeat;
  • Shortness of breath, feeling of suffocation;
  • Feeling unwell;
  • Pain of different localization;
  • Severe anxiety, unaccountable fear, fear of death for no apparent reason;
  • Discomfortable feeling in the chest, abdomen.

“Panic the attack can begin even in the absence of significant external stimuli or stress and last up to several hours,” the specialist clarified.
The doctor drew attention to the fact that such panic attacks can indicate diseases of the endocrine and cardiovascular systems, so you do not need to fight them yourself – instead, you should definitely contact a specialist. Without adequate treatment, aggravated states of panic can seriously reduce the quality of life, negatively affect relationships and the ability to work.
