Doctors say that another outbreak of coronavirus awaits us – in late August or early September. In some regions, masks are being introduced.
As of August 6, 19,974 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia per day. 46 people died. In 41 regions, an increase in the number of hospitalizations is noted. The number of people infected was the highest since March 30, when the infection control headquarters reported 20,145 cases.
The problem is that the coronavirus in many cases does not go unnoticed. At the beginning of the pandemic, doctors said that the main blow falls on the lungs, later it was proved that the vessels were severely affected. Many complain that the consequences of the disease appear even 6-12 months after recovery.
According to the infectious disease specialist, virologist Nikolay Malyshev, the longest effects of covid are associated with the work of the central nervous system. We are talking about a deterioration in hearing or a change in taste.
— I have personally observed patients whose hearing has long been weakened and has not yet returned to normal. Cases are also described when changes in taste persist for a long time, – said Malyshev URA.RU
According to the expert, various complications are possible even with a mild course of the disease. In about a third of those who have had the disease, the liver suffers. Many complaints of shortness of breath.
