The first cases of Hong Kong flu have been registered in Russia. Rospotrebnadzor reports this.

The first three cases of influenza A (H3N2) were recorded in Tyumen, the department noted. One adult and two children fell ill. The patients did not have flu vaccinations.

The Hong Kong flu got its name from the 1968 pandemic. It started in Hong Kong and spread throughout the world. According to various estimates, from 1 to 4 million people died then.

Preventive measures:

  • headache,
  • aches throughout the body.

Hong Kong flu can lead to complications: pneumonia, myocarditis, encephalitis and meningitis, as well as aggravate chronic heart diseases, asthma, diabetes, etc.
