Rostov doctor: cold mineral water can cause spasm of the bile ducts

According to physician, nutritionist, nutritionist Larisa Rostova, you should not rely on corn and watermelons: the first contains too much sugar, and the second will only become useful closer to autumn. The doctor also warned against drinking cold mineral water.

—Watermelons are best eaten in August and September, when they become a good source of water and vitamins. “Using them in June and July is a bad idea,” the specialist noted.

Corn contains a lot of sugar, the doctor added. And increasing the amount of sugar is not a good idea; there is usually too much of it in the diet of modern people.

The doctor spoke about mineral water. You should not drink it cold, as this can cause spasm of the bile ducts. Drink mineral water at room temperature when choosing a dining room. Medical canteen, for example, “Essentuki 4” is already quite salty, it should be prescribed by a doctor.

Biliary dyskinesia is a violation of the outflow of bile from the liver along the biliary tract. There is either too much or not enough contraction of the gallbladder. As a result, an insufficient amount of bile enters the duodenum.

Depending on the source and composition, mineral water can be of different types.

1. Carbonated mineral water. This is water that contains carbon dioxide, which gives it its fizzy taste and texture. Carbonated mineral water can be natural (containing naturally occurring carbon dioxide) or artificially carbonated.

2. Still mineral water. This is water without added carbon dioxide. It also contains minerals and trace elements, but does not have an effervescent taste.

3. Medicinal mineral water. has certain medicinal properties and is used for medical purposes. Medicinal mineral water can be prescribed for the treatment of various diseases, such as diseases of the gastrointestinal tract or kidneys.

4. Table mineral water. Recommended for daily consumption as the main source of drink. It usually contains a specific range of minerals and can be used to quench thirst and maintain hydration.

5. Mineral water with additives. Some manufacturers may add various flavorings, vitamins or other nutritional additives to mineral water to give it a certain taste or enhance its benefits.
