Gastroenterologist Sukhorukova: if you have kidney stones, it’s better to forget about raspberries – the diuretic effect will “move them”

Gastroenterologist Lyudmila Sukhorukova spoke about how much raspberries are recommended to eat per day. According to her, “it’s better not to overdo it” with this berry, especially if you have kidney stones.

Adults can eat up to 400 grams of berries per day, children – 160-200 grams. These standards are valid provided that the person does not have allergies or other contraindications.

The expert recalled the beneficial properties of raspberries:

  • improving brain function,
  • lowering blood sugar,
  • maintaining heart health,
  • improving the functioning of the digestive organs, kidneys, liver and gall bladder,
  • reducing the risk of developing arthritis
  • diaphoretic for colds.

People should not eat raspberries with gastritis, ulcers and colitis, raspberries are not recommended for gout. Remember also that this berry is a strong allergen.

Signs of kidney stones:

  • Unexplained nausea or vomiting.
  • Consistent weakness.
