They are constantly cold, they have problems with hair loss, their nails become brittle, and their skin is dry and constantly flaky. With hypothyroidism, insomnia can begin, the menstrual cycle can be disrupted. If your close relatives had problems with the thyroid gland, then you are at risk, so it is important to check your condition with an endocrinologist, the doctor said.

– In women, additional signs of hypothyroidism include menstrual irregularities. In addition, neglected hypothyroidism negatively affects the appearance, the face becomes swollen, the eyelids swell, the corners of the mouth go down, – Melnikova added.
