According to Maxim Efimov, assistant at the Department of Dietetics at ROSBIOTECH University, joint health can be saved with the help of bone broths.

— To keep your joints healthy , it is necessary to include in the diet meat-and-bone broths based on stringy types of meat: shank, knee joint, tail, spine, brisket, the specialist noted.

These foods are high in collagen, a building block for joints.

Bone broths should be eaten four to five days a week for healthy joints. Jellied meat should be added to the diet once or twice a week. Jellied fish is also considered a healthy dish.

In order for joints to be healthy, the diet must contain collagens, elastins, proteins, chondroitin sulfates and much more.

—Another condition for maintaining healthy joints is the presence of ascorbic acid in food. It converts procollagen into collagen, the expert clarified.

As MedicForum wrote, gastroenterologist Olga Pomoinetskaya gave a recipe for a healthy broth to maintain the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.

You need to take:

3 kg of beef bones
3-4 liters of water
1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
1 large carrot
3 stalks of celery
20 grams of ginger root
1 teaspoon of coriander
2 bay leaves

Rinse the bones and bake in the oven until golden brown. Next, fill them with cold water, add apple cider vinegar, and bring to a boil. Skim off the foam and cook over low heat for about a day. Two hours before the end of cooking, add onions, carrots, celery stalks and spices, and half an hour before the end add bay leaves and salt. Strain the broth and remove the fat.
