The specialist noted that they can be used to make smoothies. A thick drink, a smoothie is usually prepared from berries, fruits or vegetables crushed in a blender or mixer. Milk, vegetable oil, seeds, oatmeal, etc. are sometimes added to such drinks. Nutritionist Sviridova advised including smoothies from seasonal products in your diet.

“Be sure to include smoothies in your diet – the easiest way to consume large amounts of fiber. You can fit a lot of vitamin-rich foods in one glass,” said Elena Sviridova.
The nutritionist added that smoothies can be consumed on fasting days. According to the expert, the gastrointestinal tract experiences a lot of stress every day, and a day without eating solid food will be beneficial for the body.
Sviridova also advised freezing vegetables, berries and fruits to preserve their freshness for a long time.
