Nutritionist Starnovskaya warned: the beneficial properties of coffee and tea on the body appear only with moderate consumption of these drinks. The specialist named doses of coffee and tea that are dangerous for the nervous system. Thus, she advised drinking green tea in quantities not exceeding four cups per day, and black tea in quantities not exceeding six cups.

“Green tea is popular because of its antioxidant properties and ability to increase the overall tone of the body . But the benefits persist only with moderate consumption – up to 3-4 cups per day. Black tea invigorates, improves mood and helps to concentrate, but its safe dose is about 5-6 cups a day,” the expert explained to Podmoskovye Segodnya.
Speaking about coffee, Starnovskaya clarified that you should not drink more than four cups per day, and ideally, it is preferable to get by with one cup of a good quality drink without sweeteners.

The expert noted that coffee and tea are not needed in the said amount consume in one go. There should be breaks between drinking them (small portions). They are necessary for rest and restoration of the body.
