Nutritionist Irina Pisareva: if refined flour and sugar are present in the bread, its consumption becomes in many ways dangerous to health.

Nutritionist Pisareva said in a conversation with Radio 1, that the most dangerous is bread made from refined white wheat flour with added sugar.

“Bread that contains refined flour and sugar is the most dangerous. It is contraindicated for several categories of patients.”
In particular, such bread should be excluded from the diet of people who have elevated levels of sugar and cholesterol in the blood, or who are susceptible to obesity. Pisareva also pointed out the dangers of bread made from refined flour with sugar for people with chronic gastrointestinal problems. Its consumption can stimulate the growth of harmful bacteria and aggravate unwanted symptoms.

The expert noted that in the daily diet preference should be given to bread made from whole grain flour or sourdough bread – along with this product, the body will receive the complex carbohydrates it needs. But such bread should be consumed strictly in moderation.
