Nutalia Lazurenko advised not to trust the statement that tea is a natural remedy for weight loss.

Nutalia Lazurenko reported that tea is often is credited with the ability to influence fat cells in some special way. In reality, no fat burning occurs just because a person drinks tea, the doctor noted.

“Tea does not affect the volume of fat cells and does not in any way contribute to weight loss. If there is a tea diet, then it is a myth and a scam of gullible overweight sufferers,” Lazurenko emphasized in a comment to NEWS.ru.
The nutritionist stated that high-quality tea is an excellent source of vitamins (for example, B vitamins), microelements, and antioxidants (such as polyphenols, which activate the processes of eliminating toxic components). Its use is associated with many positive effects. But if we talk about losing weight, then tea can only be useful as a drink present in the diet, which is entirely tailored to a person’s desire to lose weight.

“Comprehensive measures are important for losing weight. Tea alone will not reduce weight,” the expert emphasized.
Lazurenko drew attention to the fact that in cases where a person leads a physically active lifestyle and moves a lot, drinking tea additionally stimulates the activity of general metabolism. Active metabolism affects the absorption of carbohydrates and fats – this is important for weight loss and maintaining harmony, the nutritionist summarized.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that physiologist Alexander Sozykin advised Russians to use leafy, not bagged tea.
