Nutritionist Lissy Lakatos named potatoes and unripe bananas among those carbohydrates that will be useful for people losing weight.

Some foods as sources of carbohydrates will be useful to maintain a healthy weight and to lose it. Nutritionist Lissy Lakatos spoke about this among other experts on the Eat This, Not That! portal. (ETNT).

“We need to stop demonizing carbohydrates because not all of them are bad. Some of them may help you lose weight. When losing weight, it is necessary to exclude refined carbohydrates from the diet, first of all, including white bread, pastries, muffins, cookies, and breakfast cereals,” experts say.
Lakatos herself believes that people who are losing weight should not give up potatoes. It should be consumed with the peel, so the body will receive more fiber, which stimulates the development of beneficial intestinal microflora. You should also remember that the dietary version of potatoes is boiled or baked.

In addition, the specialist called corn, which also contains a lot of fiber, a useful carbohydrate for weight loss. Other sources of carbohydrates that are full of vitamins and fiber are raw carrots and beets. They do not contain added sugar and have a positive effect on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and the immune system.

As for unripe greenish bananas, they contain so-called resistant starch, which prevents the rapid absorption of carbohydrates and fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
