Endocrinologist Natalia Tananakina: those who want to lose weight by summer need to eat more protein and less carbohydrates, eat vegetables and fruits in the morning.

Doctor Tananakina, in a conversation with Izvestia, named ways to lose weight by summer. The doctor stated that in the daily diet one should give preference to protein, fiber and healthy fats, and also reduce the amount of added sugar as much as possible.

“The serving must be divided into four parts: carbohydrates, proteins, vegetable fiber and fats. Each meal should contain as much protein and plant fiber as possible: this helps you feel full,” the specialist shared.
Natalia Tananakina noted that for people who want to lose weight by summer, it is best to eat vegetables and fruits in the first half of the day – the body will absorb vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from them, accelerating metabolism, and the resulting sugar will have time to process in the evening. The endocrinologist drew attention to the fact that some plant foods should be excluded from the diet of people losing weight – they have a high glycemic index and stimulate the release of large amounts of insulin, which stimulates fat deposition.

Among the ways to lose weight by summer, Tananakina named giving up potatoes and bananas .

“For those who want to lose weight, you should exclude potatoes, carrots, beets, and eggplants from your diet, and give preference to green salads, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, and celery. Avoid bananas and grapes due to their high calorie content,” the expert advised.
Another method suggested by the doctor is drinking water: this stimulates metabolic processes, including fat metabolism. In turn, drinking alcohol sharpens the appetite and increases the total number of calories that the body receives per day.

Tananakina emphasized that diet correction in combination with physical activity, mobility, and exercise helps to lose weight most effectively. What is also important for gaining harmony is good and sufficient sleep.
