Endocrinologist Zuhra Pavlova told what a proper breakfast should be.

Doctor Pavlova said that breakfast is a very important meal of the day day.

“If breakfast is balanced, then the body will need less energy during lunch and dinner. This means you will eat less, and this is good for your figure,” the doctor explained.
Citing the results of a new study conducted in the UK, Pavlova noted that breakfast should include protein, complex carbohydrates and coffee. Experiments showed that people who ate a high-protein breakfast demonstrated good performance and highly active cognitive functions. In addition, when protein is included in breakfast, the body maintains a stable sugar level.

As for complex carbohydrates, their consumption stimulates digestion and the development of intestinal microbiota beneficial for immunity.

“The findings suggest that it would be ideal to include protein, complex carbohydrates, and coffee in your breakfast. The former, for example, are found in nuts and cheese, the latter – in brown rice, fruits, vegetables, whole grain bread,” Zukhra Pavlova clarified.
She advised drinking coffee about an hour after eating. Eating it on an empty stomach is a bad habit, the endocrinologist emphasized.

Earlier, the portal wrote that it helps the body cleanse itself of toxins faster.
