According to nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg, a lack of nutrients in the menu of elderly people can lead to a shortening of their lives.

Nutritionist Ginsburg said in an interview that older people often do not get the right amount of those nutrients that are very important to keep their body functioning.

“For example, they abstain from fish and fruit because they are saving money. Very often we see that elderly people do not eat enough cottage cheese, although it is calcium that their bones need,” noted Mikhail Ginzburg, talking with Moscow 24.
The doctor warned: insufficient nutrition in old age can shorten life.

“There is a term – malnutrition, that is, insufficient intake of vital nutrients. This reduces life expectancy, making all kinds of diseases more likely,” explained Ginzburg.
The expert said that in old age you should drink fermented milk drinks daily and eat fruit (two pieces are enough). In addition, legumes should be eaten regularly (five servings weekly), as well as fatty sea fish (three servings per week).

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that to get rid of excess fat and weight, you should avoid any sugary drinks.
