Gastroenterologist Evgeny Belousov: mineral water can replace soup in special circumstances.

Doctor Belousov shared his professional opinion on the benefits of soups. The specialist noted that today people have access to a wide range of products, so it is not worth considering that only soup is the right food. A healthy person does not necessarily have to eat soups if he does not want to – the main thing in nutrition is that the body receives a variety of nutrients from natural products.

At the same time, the specialist noted that moderately hot soup is well absorbed and generally has a beneficial effect on digestion.

What benefits do soups bring:

  • Bone broth soups provide the body with collagen, which is necessary for joints and skin;
  • Vegetable soups are rich in vitamins and minerals – this is good support for the immune system;
  • Rich meat soups are rich in protein, give energy and strength, they are useful to eat to strengthen muscles and the body after illness or stress;
  • Mushroom soups are a good source of fiber and B vitamins, necessary for the health of the nervous system.

Doctor Belousov commented on the possibility of replacing soup with mineral water. The doctor stated that sometimes a glass of mineral water can really replace a bowl of soup.

“Some researchers suggest replacing soup with mineral water, especially for those who are watching their weight… from time to time a glass of mineral water can be an alternative to a bowl of soup if you don’t have time to have a full lunch,” the gastroenterologist explained to Life.
According to doctor, you shouldn’t do this all the time. The body not only receives nutrients from soup, but also effectively absorbs them. Mineral water cannot completely replace soup.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that mineral water is not suitable for everyone.
