“Nuts contain a large amount of magnesium and B vitamins – these are the elements that are most needed people over 60 years old. Magnesium and B vitamins strengthen the nervous system, as well as facilitate and improve heart function,” Arzamastsev shared with Moscow 24.

Nuts are also a source of vitamin E and silicon, which have a positive effect on skin, hair and nails, improving their condition. In addition, their consumption is the prevention of poorly healing wounds, ulcers.

“Nuts contain chromium, which very well reduces cravings for sweets in overweight older people with impaired carbohydrate metabolism,” the specialist added.
