About the positive effects of chocolate with a high level of cocoa biotechnologist Belyaeva said in an interview with Gazeta.ru. The expert noted that its composition contains the most important vitamins and microelements in the form of iron, calcium, vitamins A, C, D and E, thanks to which the skin retains moisture.

Belyaeva stated that dark chocolate not only retains moisture in the skin moisture, but also slows down its aging.

“Dark chocolate contains vitamins PP, B1, B2, which help improve complexion and fight premature aging of the skin.”
The specialist added that dark varieties of chocolate are rich sources of flavonols – antioxidants that have the ability to protect the skin from the destructive effects of ultraviolet rays on its surface layers, which provokes the rapid appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation. In addition, this product is rich in cocoa butter, which can help with exacerbations of eczema and psoriasis.

Inga Belyaeva emphasized that only unsweetened chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70 percent is considered beneficial for the skin.
