Psychiatrist Timur Mutaliev: when a person views weekends as a reason for drinking, it can quietly become alcoholism.

Psychiatrist Mutaliev said that tradition Drinking alcohol on weekends can develop into an addiction, even if it's just a glass of wine or a glass of strong drink.

“The habit of regularly drinking alcohol, even in small quantities, can significantly affect a person’s physical and mental health. The main danger is that this habit can become the beginning of the path to alcohol addiction,” he said while talking to Lenta.ru.
The doctor emphasized: if such an impulse is felt to drink in small quantities every day or every weekend, and a person does this, it means that an addiction has already formed. Mutaliev drew attention to the fact that in case of addiction, among other things, there is a psychological need for alcohol. Over time, this can lead to the fact that only by drinking a person will feel emotional satisfaction from life, while without alcohol he will not feel normal.

The doctor also reminded that there is no safe dose of alcohol – not even a glass of vodka or a glass of wine on weekends can negatively affect the body, harm the cardiovascular system, liver, and brain.
