MedicForum spoke with nutritionist Vasilisa Ponomareva about the best foods to eat to relieve symptoms and the ones to skip to avoid a flare-up.

Psoriasis is often a painful and uncomfortable condition in which dry, scaly patches appear on the skin that can vary in severity and location. Also, like gout or arthritis, psoriasis is chronic, which means that patients can live with it for a long time.

There are different types of psoriasis, including plaque psoriasis, which usually occurs on the elbows, knees, scalp and lower back.

They usually itch or hurt, and in severe cases, they can crack and bleed; it is the most common form of psoriasis.

Other common forms of the disease include:

Regarding the foods in question, which are best recommended for relief.
