Traumatologist-orthopedist Alexander Kurmanov: not only people with problem feet need such insoles.

Doctor Kurmanov explained when healthy people need wear orthopedic insoles. The specialist noted that everyone should acquire such a habit after the age of 45, but especially those who spend a lot of time on their feet.

Kurmanov explained that until the age of 45, the condition of the joints and ligaments is maintained using the physiological resources of the body, but at a later age, additional support is needed to ease its load.

“With age, the capsular-ligamentous apparatus of the foot becomes less elastic, rigid, the arches of the feet sag… even with good genetics, under the force of gravity of weight during the day, the arches the feet will sag,” the specialist specified.
The doctor emphasized that people who, due to their profession or lifestyle, spend 12–14 hours a day on their feet, should wear shoes with orthopedic insoles. Ignoring this rule can lead to damage to the joints of the feet and knees, the expert warned.

Earlier, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that doctor Anastasia Tarasko named products that help maintain healthy joints with age.
