Oncologist Fatima Tamaeva spoke about “certain vitamins, including C and A” that can protect the body from processes that are destructive to it.
Honored Doctor of the Republic of Dagestan Fatima Tamaeva said in an interview:
“Some vitamins, including vitamins C and A, not only protect the body from aging, but also reduce the likelihood of cancer.”
According to the doctor, adequate intake of vitamin C prevents cellular damage. As a result, the likelihood of developing certain types of cancer decreases. At the same time, if the disease has already occurred, you should not resort to vitamin C – it may turn out to be “fuel” for cancer cells.
As for vitamin A, its antioxidant effect can be effective against such types of cancer as promyelocytic leukemia, the oncologist explained.
At the same time, Tamaeva emphasized that any antioxidants should not be taken uncontrolled, without the consent of a doctor – especially for patients diagnosed with cancer. Improper use of these drugs reduces the effectiveness of cancer treatment (for example, chemotherapy and radiation therapy).
Oncologist Tamaeva also named another well-known substance for protecting the body from cancer – vitamin D.
“Vitamin D – the only vitamin whose effectiveness in the fight against cancer has been scientifically proven. It has anti-inflammatory properties and plays an important role in the prevention of breast cancer, prostate and colon cancer,” the doctor shared with Lenta.ru.
The doctor stated that in fact, not a single vitamin provides one hundred percent protection against cancer; there is no need to rely on them as some kind of miracle remedy. What is also very important: vitamins should be consumed only in the correct quantity, and their intake should be recommended by a specialist.
Earlier, the portal MedikForum.ru wrote that the additive microbial transglutaminase, also known as “meat glue”, is used by unscrupulous people food manufacturers.
