stomach pain
Gastroenterologist Andrey Yakushev told how to help a person with food poisoning.

Doctor Yakushev gave advice on providing first aid in case of poisoning.

Signs of poisoning. Abdominal pain and bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, dizziness, weakness – the severity of these symptoms in case of poisoning depends on the degree of dehydration.

First aid. Gastroenterologist Yakushev noted

“First of all, it is necessary to remove all suspicious products that could have poisoned the victim.”
Sorbents are also needed – they should be taken to reduce the amount of toxins in the body.

What medications can you take

  • For abdominal pain – antispasmodics: no-spa, mebeverine , trimedate;
  • For nausea – cerucal;
  • For severe diarrhea – double dose of sorbents.

Yakushev emphasized that in case of poisoning it is extremely important to replenish the fluid level – its critical loss can even lead to loss of consciousness. You need to drink little, but often. If a person is vomiting, he still needs to give his body water after that – he should drink at least teaspoons.

“If the condition of a poisoned person worsens, he develops lethargy, drowsiness, severe abdominal pain, and problems with urination , fever, or the disease lasts a long time, you need to see a doctor,” the gastroenterologist advised in a comment to Lente.ru.
The MedikForum.ru portal previously wrote about what foods should be present in the diet of people with gastritis.
