Doctor Myasnikov: many diseases go away without treatment

Doctor Alexander Myasnikov: many diseases that are “strongly treated” actually go away on their own.

General practitioner, cardiologist Alexander Butchers recalled that a fairly large number of diseases today are incurable. Speaking about diseases that can be treated, the doctor noted: among those ailments that are commonly treated today by various methods, there are many pathologies that can go away on their own, even if there is no treatment.

“All diseases are divided into curable and incurable. We cannot cure hypertension, diabetes, atherosclerosis, osteoporosis. Curable diseases are divided into those that we can treat and those that go away on their own,” said Dr. Myasnikov.
He added that in many cases, the treatment of the disease comes down to trying to prevent complications or reduce its duration. Alexander Myasnikov cited viral diseases as an example. These pathologies are widespread and, as a rule, are actively treated. But the therapy undertaken by physicians and patients in the overwhelming majority of cases does not eliminate diseases – it only helps the sick not to experience critical deterioration in well-being.

“Antiviral drugs do not work. Let's say we give oseltamivir for the flu, and the person is sick for nine days instead of eleven. This is not an effect,” said the expert.
The only exception, Dr. Myasnikov called the treatment of hepatitis C. It is really possible today to completely eradicate this viral infection – there is a cure for this.

The doctor Myasnikov called diseases that tend to turn into cancer pathologies that do not require treatment.

  • Labyrinthitis (inflammation in the inner ear).
  • Tinnitus (tinnitus).
  • Spinal hernia (usual, not critical)
  • Irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Hypotension.

Such pathologies can pass some time after exacerbations on their own, even if they are not treated. Or they take the form of chronic conditions that may not bother a person if he adapts to live with them, controls his general health, learns to use non-drug methods to maintain normal well-being
