Doctor Myasnikov: for some diseases there is no treatment, they go away on their own

Doctor Alexander Myasnikov: some diseases do not require treatment – for example, acute respiratory viral infections and intervertebral hernias.

Russian doctor Alexander Myasnikov, known for his appearances on television, said that for some diseases there is no specific treatment. Such diseases go away on their own, he emphasized. In particular, such ailments include almost all respiratory viral diseases along with the runny nose. The specialist emphasized that viral diseases cannot be cured – science and medicine have not yet created a medicine that would destroy the virus that causes the disease. For ARVI, only symptomatic treatment is possible, which boils down to mitigating the negative manifestations of the disease.

This principle, according to the doctor, applies to influenza, Covid, viral sinusitis, sore throat and bronchitis.

“It is impossible to influence viruses. Only complications of the diseases they cause can be treated, and the symptoms can be alleviated,” Myasnikov clarified in his Telegram channel.
The doctor also pointed out other diseases for which there is no special treatment, and they go away on their own.

  • Intervertebral disc herniation (uncomplicated);
  • Fibromyalgia;
  • Irritable bowel syndrome;
  • Positional vertigo.
