Doctor Alexandra Fileva spoke about diseases that tend to worsen among Russians in the spring.

Doctor Fileva said that with the onset of spring it very often happens associated with decreased immunity. This weakening of the body is caused by a lack of movement and physical activity, coupled with a deficiency of vitamins and lack of sunlight in winter.

In turn, spring tests the body's strength with its unstable weather and atmospheric fluctuations, increased daylight hours and changes in biorhythms. According to Fileva, at this time of year, many people become susceptible to various health problems, exacerbation of chronic diseases, and infections. This occurs due to the weakening and insufficient replenishment of protective resources.

Doctor Fileva warned of an exacerbation of cystitis, herpes and other diseases in the spring.

“With a sharp change in temperature, the immune system weakens and the body becomes more vulnerable to pathogenic microbes. The most common companions of spring are colds, as well as cystitis, sinusitis, laryngitis, otitis media, and herpes. In addition, in the spring there is a higher likelihood of exacerbation of chronic diseases of the cardiovascular system, the risk of heart attacks and strokes increases,” the doctor stated in a comment to Life.ru.
The specialist explained that people prone to hypertension or hypotension may suffer from frequent headaches and dizziness, general malaise and weakness. In addition, in the spring there may be an exacerbation of arthritis, osteochondrosis, various dermatitis, and gastrointestinal diseases.

The risk of aggravated conditions associated with mental disorders – neuroses, anxiety, depression, psychosis, aggression also increases. In addition, due to the beginning of the flowering of many plants, people begin to suffer from hay fever (pollen allergy).

“Hay fever is manifested by nasal congestion, swelling of the eyelids, itching, impaired sense of smell, headache, fatigue,” the expert clarified.
Previously, the MedikForum.ru portal wrote that weather-sensitive people can suffer a stroke when the weather changes.
