It has decreased by more than 64 times – from the maximum of 907.6 in mid-February to the current 14.06. At the same time, a steady decrease in the incidence is observed in all age groups. 93% of cases are mild or asymptomatic. It is important to note that the dynamics of the COVID-19 epidemic process in Russia is consistent with global trends.
From March 1, restrictive measures were reduced for various sectors of the economy and other social infrastructure facilities for children and youth. The lifting of restrictions was carried out in stages, taking into account the dynamics of the changing situation. This approach did not lead to negative changes, so experts believe that a significant increase in the incidence caused by the Omicron variant is unlikely in the summer months. But if the situation with COVID-19 worsens, the restrictions may be resumed.
