Young woman diagnosed with aggressive cancer reveals first symptom of illness

stomach
A 30-year-old athlete leading a healthy lifestyle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This is one of the most aggressive types of cancer.

Holly Scheuer from North Carolina told the Daily Mail that she never thought she could get cancer. She took good care of her health: she ate healthy and exercised actively. She was rarely sick and definitely never complained of stomach problems.

While training for another marathon, Holly felt severe pain in her stomach, but attributed it to illness and anxiety. The pain did not subside, and the girl went to the doctor.

The examination revealed that she had a malignant tumor of the pancreas. Fortunately, the tumor was detected early, and the metastases did not have time to spread. Now the girl is in remission.

She advises to listen to your body and not to ignore the pain in the abdomen, not to dull it with pills.

Signs of pancreatic cancer can be subtle in the early stages. However, as the disease progresses, the following symptoms appear:

  • Abdominal pain. Often begins in the upper abdomen and can radiate to the back.
  • Loss of appetite and weight. Unexplained weight loss and decreased interest in food.
  • Yellowing of the skin and mucous membranes caused by increased bilirubin levels in the blood.
  • Stool may become light and greasy.
  • Nausea and vomiting may occur due to pressure from the tumor on the stomach or intestines.
  • Constant feeling of fatigue and weakness.
  • Sudden development of diabetes may be associated with pancreatic cancer, especially in people over 50.
