The main reason why modern women delay childbirth is their desire to build a career. This conclusion was made by researchers from the UK.
411 women who had resorted to the procedure for freezing eggs and embryos underwent an in-depth sociological study. Its authors were interested in what exactly motivates the fair sex, who have every opportunity to endure and give birth to a child right now, to postpone it until later. Study participants were given a list of 11 options and could choose the top three that motivated them to undergo the procedure.
Women choose partners with small penis
In the first place among the reasons was a career. Women sought to devote all their free time to moving up the career ladder. In second place is their feeling of general unpreparedness for motherhood, since many of the fair sex believed that they were not emotionally mature in order to become mothers – they simply did not have the proper responsibility. In third place is the financial situation. Thus, the search for a handsome prince, which sociologists most often called when they analyzed such decisions of women, is not even included in the top three. It was not the desire to wait for a real father that pushed women to decide to postpone motherhood.
Men choose sleep over sex
At the moment in the UK, more than half of women are childless by the age of 30 – this phenomenon is considered absolutely unprecedented, since never before in the history of the country have so many women postponed pregnancy and childbirth. Note that the most fertile women are approximately from 16 to 30 years. This is the best age to bear and give birth to the first child, but practice shows that most women do not think so. (READ MORE)
